About Us

What is AACF?

Asian American Christian Fellowship (SLO) is a campus-based ministry initiated and led by students.

This Year's Theme

Bold Love

As firm believers and disciples of Christ Jesus on the Cal Poly campus, we strive by His grace to live our lives as a reflection of our perfect Father in Heaven. We want to live out our faith boldly on campus this year, exemplifying Christ's amazing love through ourselves and sharing the life-changing Word of Jesus Christ with all those around us.

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith;
be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love."
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NIV

Our Background

The Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society (JEMS) began its campus work in the fall of 1973 at CSU Los Angeles. It was called the JEMS Campus Bible Study. By 1977, the name Asian American Christian Fellowship was coined and used for the first time for the group at CSU Long Beach. From a small beginning, this ministry has grown to involve several thousand students on a number of strategic campuses in California and Washington.

AACF Mission

The mission of Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) is to reach into the university and collegiate community, primarily to those who are Asian-Pacific Americans, with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

AACF Vision

We are committed to making disciples by educating and equipping students in Biblical foundations, Christian disciplines, and the development of spiritual gifts in order to prepare them for witness and service on the campus, in the local church, in the marketplace, and in world missions.
